Presentation to Nelson Tramway Society

Posted: May 29 - 2017

The Club was pleased to present a $500 cheque to 93 year old Walt Laurie, President of the Nelson Tramway Society. This will be used towards the purchase and installation of a wheelchair lift, costing $12,000 at the tramway stop at Lakeside Rotary Park. The Nelson Tramway Society is now 26 years old and has 70 volunteers who assist with keeping the tramway running for 18,000 happy visitors a year.
